Erica and Keith met just two and a half years ago, and that was all the time they needed to know they were perfect for one another. Having experienced traditional weddings before, they decided this time would be just about them. They ventured off to The Palm at Playa for a week away from everyone and everything.

They chose a day that won’t be forgotten—Halloween—to escape to a sacred cenote in Playa del Carmen for a spiritual ceremony performed by Shaman Samia Dabbah. The ceremony was accompanied by Pre-Hispanic music, enhancing the moment with a sweet jungle serenade as the couple shared their vows.

As the copal burned, family and friends were symbolically represented by beautiful butterflies that flew around the altar in support of the sacred union. The moment was touching, and the couple had never felt so in love.

With the world turned upside down, they embraced the idea that there are no rules. It's up to us to make the best of every single moment. Congratulations, Erica and Keith! We love couples who can have their cake and eat it too.
